There's a time and a place for everything

That is until he decided to tell me that he liked to have sex. I mean, it was really weird and really random. One minute we are talking movies and the next he's all "I like sex." I kind of let it slide hoping that if I didn't really respond to it that we would go back to the getting to know each other stuff.

If you send me a message please don't disappear

Before I left for vacation a somewhat cute younger guy sent me a message on OkCupid. I sent (what I believe was) a very cute and flirty message back to him on the same day he messaged me. And I still haven’t received a response from him. I am not really waiting for one since I kind of gave up after a few days. That could be lame on my part but hey I am not really one to sit around waiting for guys in general. Especially when it becomes obvious they aren’t interested in putting in any time or effort.

Rejection from the internet

rejected.jpg

I have to confess, if I go a certain number of days without receiving a message from a guy on a dating site I feel a little rejected. It's even worse if I log in and see that guys have looked at my profile but haven't sent any messages. As a side note here, I sometimes wonder if it's some sort of cruel joke that dating sites put that feature on the site. I mean, I get the benefits of it but I kind of hate it too.

So anyway, I feel rejected. And, I really hate that I feel that way and I hate even more that I am admitting it out loud because honestly the whole thing seems really silly to me. After all, can you really even call it rejection if you didn't actually hit on the guy in the first place?
